Reformation, the cult-favourite sustainable fashion brand, has officially opened its first Vancouver location, bringing its eco-conscious style to Kitsilano. Located at 2262 West 4th Avenue, the new 1,300-square-foot space marks the company’s first store in Western Canada and third nationwide.
The Los Angeles–founded brand, known for combining trend-forward designs with environmental responsibility, previously opened two stores in Toronto. Kitsilano becomes home to Reformation’s 53rd store globally and a key part of the company’s Canadian expansion.
“Our first two Canadian stores are both in Toronto, so we’re excited to finally have a location on the other side of the country,” said Sarah Hooe, VP of Global Business Development. “It feels like a natural next step both in terms of reaching a broader audience across the country and a nod to our own roots as a West Coast-based brand.”
True to its mission to be circular by 2030, Reformation’s Vancouver store offers a shopping experience designed with sustainability in mind. The company has offset 100% of the store’s electricity usage with renewable energy and outfitted the space with vintage furnishings, FSC-certified wood hangers, and reusable deadstock totes. The store also participates in RefRecycling, which allows customers to drop off used Reformation items in exchange for store credit.
In addition to its environmental credentials, the Kitsilano location showcases Reformation’s signature tech-enabled shopping model. Shoppers can browse items via interactive screens that function like online shopping carts, sending selected styles directly to dressing rooms from a back-of-house mini distribution centre.
“We have screens throughout the store that you can use to select items for your dressing room just like you would build a cart online,” explained Hooe. “You can also work with one of our amazing store associates to do this, if you prefer.”
Inside the dressing rooms, additional screens allow customers to request new sizes or styles in real-time, streamlining the try-on process without the need to leave the room.
With nearly all of its products made from recycled, regenerative, or renewable materials, Reformation continues to position itself at the intersection of fashion innovation and climate responsibility. The opening of the Vancouver store reflects the brand’s growing emphasis on global expansion and local relevance, particularly in markets with strong sustainability values.
