The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre is inviting Kitsilano locals to look up—way up—at its upcoming Cosmic Nights: Space Sustainability event, happening Thursday, April 24th from 6:00pm to 10:30pm.
This 19+ evening will blend science, conversation, and celestial entertainment in a night dedicated to the urgent and increasingly relevant theme of space sustainability. Attendees can expect expert talks, hands-on activities, a full planetarium experience, and even cosmic trivia—all while enjoying drinks in one of Vancouver’s most iconic educational venues.
From tracking Earth’s climate changes via satellite to tackling the growing problem of space debris, the event explores how we can safeguard our skies both above and below. Organizers hope to spark discussion around how we monitor our planet and protect the night sky for future generations.
