Scoop! Yogurt – A Sunday Treat

Scoop! is a fairly new yogurt bar located on 2050 West 4th Avenue. The concept is simple: choose a size of plain, frozen yogurt in a cup ($3.50 for a small size) and add your own toppings for $1.85 per 100 grams. Some of the toppings included fresh blueberries, chopped mangoes, lychee jelly, granola and chocolate bits. There was also a variety of sauces to choose from including butterscotch, caramel and strawberry syrup, etc.

I thought the frozen yogurt had a clean and simple flavor, not too overwhelming or rich- it had the right amount of kick to complement the toppings. The ‘topping bar’ was nicely laid out and easy to access, and only what is needed (a small portion at time) is laid out in tiny metal bowls and then refilled constantly to maintain freshness. There is also a small selection of smoothie flavors to choose from.

The Scoop! location had a few benches and stools to sit down and eat your creation, however, I noticed that most people were taking their yogurt as a convenient snack in between shopping. However, I found the price to be a little steep once the toppings were added and calculated. Regardless, a scoop from Scoop! was a healthy treat for a sunny Sunday afternoon and definitely satisfied my craving for a sweet treat!

I’m counting the months until Scoop! closes.

A variety of toppings is fine (there certainly could of been more when I went in) but a choice of frozen yogurt flavors would be even better.

They have a much larger space than they need and certainly need to sell a bunch of Scoops! to make it.

Expand your menu scoop and turn your operation into a real business with longevity, not just a summer fancy!

Hang in there RB – they’re bringing pies and deserts in for the winter months.
