I am not Jewish but am fortunate to have a few close friends who are and have welcomed my participation in various Jewish holidays over the years. With Passover upon us (April 6-14), Seder dinners are being planned around the world.
If you are participating in one right here in Kits, consider picking up some goodies at Solly’s Bagels, Bakery & Deli to add to the feast. With matzo ball soup, kuglette, brisket, and more, Solly’s has a large variety of Jewish comfort food for everyone to enjoy.
If you love Jewish cuisine, but rarely have the opportunity to enjoy it, check out Kitsilano’s Maple Grill at West Broadway/Maple. The Kosher restaurant has a variety of traditional Jewish foods and West Coast cuisine. Don’t go this week though – they are closed for Passover until April 15th.

Solly’s is a true regional treasure. Friends in Seattle are offended when I visit without a dozen of their bagels, which are full of flavour and are actual bagels rather than bagel-shaped rolls.
