Nuba to open a Kitsilano location

1408

I have been a fan of Nuba since 2004, when it was just a tiny little café on Seymour street. I used to be quite smug about my secret little gem. Fast forward eight years and Nuba has taken Vancouver by storm, with real estate in all the hipster hotspots including Main St. and in the Waldorf Hotel. Nuba’s fifth location is set to open in Kitsilano at Broadway/Balaclava shortly.

Nuba is a casual, eclectic restaurant that serves modern Lebanese foods including lamb kafta, falafel, chicken tawook and loads of vegetarian options at an affordable price. It is one of those rare places where vegans and carnivores can happily dine together. The cuisine is fresh, flavourful and healthy making it a perfect fit for the ’hood.

I am not sure when the Kitsilano location will open, but given the progress of construction it looks like the grand opening will be very soon.

In 2004 Nuba had not yet opened on Seymour but was a popular Hasting St Cafe-which later expanded to Seymour.
