Tickets are now on sale for the Spot Prawn Boil at the 6th Annual BC Spot Prawn Festival Saturday, May 5, from 11am-3pm at Fisherman’s Wharf. And they’re going fast.
Spot prawn season happens but once a year. The big, succulent, sweet crustaceans stick around for 6-8 weeks, during which time Vancouver chefs celebrate by cooking up a storm. While the Spot Prawn Fest (featuring chef demos, music and prize draws) is free and family friendly, it’s impossible to attend without craving a plate of the delicacy.
Tickets for the Spot Prawn Boil taking place at the BC Spot Prawn Festival are only $12 and include one plate of fresh-off-the-boat BC spot prawns, accompanied by sides, sauces and Terra Breads baked goods to mop it all up. Refuel won’t be around to host their Kits Spot Prawn Boil this year, so this is your chance.
Get inspired by the boil and the Vancouver celebrity chef demos. Then head over to buy your own live spot prawns to cook up at home.
