As a farmers daughter, I embraced the farm to table concept long before it was chic to do so. I will never forget my father telling me to try and “shake the hand that feeds you.” There is something much more satisfying about food when you understand everything that went it to putting it on your plate, a concept UBC farm knows all about.
On Sunday, June 10, you can celebrate the farm to table concept with traditional comfort foods from 16 culturally diverse chefs in a beautiful farm setting at the UBC Farm’s annual Joy of Feeding fundraiser. Did I mention you can even bring your kids for FREE (if they are under 13)?! With speakers, amazing food, live music and children’s activities, everyone is sure to have a good time.
Tickets are $50 but Kits residents who bank at Vancity are in luck because Vancity is sponsoring a limited number of 2 for 1 tickets to the event!
