Fifth Avenue Cinemas are hosting the 2nd Annual Projecting Change Film Festival from April 2nd to April 5th.
The Festival will screen 20 provocative films and showcase 18 engaging speakers including the legendary Kits native David Suzuki.
Suzuki, a long time advocate of marine issues, will lead a panel on the effects of worldwide overfishing and offer alternative ways to achieve sustainable fisheries. His panel includes fourth generation commercial fisherman Wes Erikson who has fished all along the west coast of Canada for decades and marine conservation expert Scott Wallace who advocates for broader ecosystem considerations in fisheries management. Suzkuki’s panel takes place Thursday April 2nd at 7:15pm.
Tickets are available online in advance or at the door. Individual screenings are $10.00. In the spirit of sustainable living, show your bike helmet at the box office and receive $2 off individual admission.
