Chip Wilson, lululemon founder and winner of the 2012 Kitsilano Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award, and wife Shannon Wilson, have generously donated enough $ to purchase Yue Minjun’s “A-maze-ing Laughter” Vancouver Biennale sculpture for the Vancouver public.

The sculpture, in Morton Park at Davie and Denman, is the favourite piece among the Vancouver Biennale collection. Following an overwhelming public response, the Biennale group looked for a way to keep the sculpture in the city. Wilson and wife made it possible with a $1.5 million donation.

If you’re in the West End, make sure and walk/bike/skate by Vancouver’s playful new permanent resident.
