It’s hard to believe it, but fall is just around the corner. Sure, we might be sad about the shorter daylight hours and the increase in rainfall, but we do have cozy sweaters and different holidays to look forward to. The first of these is Thanksgiving.
Prep for the fall holiday by attending the annual Taste of Thanksgiving at Whole Foods on Wednesday, September 25 from 5:00 to 8:00pm. For a suggested donation of $10 you can sample their decadent holiday menu. All proceeds from the event are donated to Kitsilano Neighbourhood House, a local, charity organization which provides social services people of all ages and backgrounds living on Vancouver’s Westside. Programs offered include community potlucks, English conversation circles, a multicultural women’s support program and the seniors drop-in program.
Whole Foods will be serving up a melange of Thanksgiving classics including roast turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and dessert. They will also offer vegetarian and vegan options.
Don’t miss out on the yummy food and the great feeling that you will get for supporting a local charity organization!
