Free outdoor movies at Stanley Park, one of our favourite Vancouver summer traditions, returns starting July 3rd through August 21st.
Stanley Park’s Ceperley Meadows near Second Beach will be outfitted with a four-storey inflatable movie screen for thousands of Vancouverites to kick back and watch flicks outdoors under summer skies.
How it works? Shows start at dusk. Seating is first come, first serve. Bring your own blankets and/or lawn chairs and, since it’s a family-friendly event, smoking or alcohol is not permitted.
Movie goers are encouraged to walk, take transit, or bike out to Stanley Park for the shows. There will be a free bike valet service offered each night too.
The complete Evo Summer Cinema Series at Stanley Park is as follows:
- July 3 – The Princess Bride (1987)
- July 10 – Stand By Me (1986)
- July 17 – The Lion King (1994)
- July 24 – Mean Girls (2004)
- July 31 – Spice World (1997)
- August 7 – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)
- August 14 – Grease (1978)
- August 21 – Titanic (1997)
If you want to guarantee the best seat in the house, Fresh Air Cinema has a reserved Gold Circle VIP area at the front of the lawn complete with 200 chairs, perfect if you want to show up and have your seats waiting for you. Seats are $20 and available online.

Tickets are $35 and include both dinner and a VIP front row seat at the movie.
