The brunch scene in Kitsilano is about to get even better as the popular Jam Cafe preps its second Vancouver location.
The all-day breakfast and lunch spot is known for its huge plates of fun fare and a requisite wait for a coveted table is moving into the space at 2153 West 4th that is about to be vacated by Bistro Pastis.
After more than twenty years in business, Bistro Pastis’ last service will take place Sunday, August 19th. As a final closing special Pastis will offer a special three course menu for just $39.
It will be a sad day as Bistro Pastis has been serving diners some of the best French Onion Soup, Steak Frites, Escargot and Duck Confit Cassoulet in the city. Owner Stefen Langford purchased Bistro Pastis in 2016 and continued the restaurants traditional approach, keeping the menu simply French.
The new Jam Cafe is expected to open as soon as November with a few members of their Beatty Street team helping with the expansion into Kits.
