Vancouver Farmers Market has confirmed that the Kitsilano Farmers Market will open on Sunday, May 3rd as an essential service.
But they are warning the public that summer markets this season will look and feel different than previous years.
In additional to full physical distancing and safety measures in place, the Kitsilano Farmers Market will be food-only, with no craft, flowers, or non-food nursery items available for purchase.
There will also be limited shopper capacity inside the markets, no live music or eating on site, and shoppers will be asked to follow the “Shop, don’t stop” rule.
The first 30 minutes of each market day will be reserved for 65+ seniors, people with mobility challenges, and others most vulnerable to COVID-19.
The Kitsilano Farmers Market is open from 10am to 2pm from May 3rd to October 25th.
