————-
With the weather forecast calling for seven straight days for sun and highs of 31 degrees, Kitsilano’s outdoor pool is more popular than ever.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has made the process of dipping your toes in Kits Pool a lot more complicated, once you’ve got your reservation you’ll be happy you made the effort.
In summers past Kits Pool was overcrowded with every inch of the pool deck covered in towels. Families with picnic lunches and leather-skinned sun worshippers would camp out for the entire day making lineups a regular occurrence.
This summer the only thing between you and the cool pool water is a alarm set for 9:25am and some fast fingers.
Here is how to get swimming in Kits Pool this summer:
- Visit the Kits Pool booking page days in advance of your desired swim date to familiarize yourself with the online registration process. When it’s time to register, you’re going to have to move quickly so it will help to know your way.
- Tickets are released daily at 9:30am for the following day of operation. Grab your desired time slot quickly. Once it is in your shopping cart you’ll have 10 minutes to complete your transaction.
- Unable to buy online? You can drop-in for a session, but only if there is space. Drop-in entry is first come, first served, and available from the start of each swim session for up to 15 minutes.
