Kitsilano has a new coffee shop.
Kits Beach Coffee has moved into the storefront at 1945 Cornwall Street that was previously occupied by Bean Around the World.
Just a few blocks from Kits Beach, the location is Kits Beach Coffee’s first brick-and-mortar location.
You see, Kits Beach Coffee was born out of the pandemic and, until now, was a coffee bike just for Kits Beach. Long-time Kits residents James Boileau and Sarah Jamieson started the hyper-local business in 2020.
“The goal of Kits Beach Coffee is to create pride of neighbourhood for people to have a place to gather, meet each other, and get great coffee”, Boileau told Kitsilano.ca.
With more space to work with, the cafe – which will continue to operate its seasonal coffee bike through the summer – has been able to expand its menu and offer hot and cold drinks, organic teas, and tasty treats, with more to come from local bakers and artisans.
