The king of summer events in Vancouver is the annual Celebration of Light Fireworks competition and it kicks off this Saturday, July 23rd.
The Honda Celebration of Light is B.C.’s largest public event and the longest-running offshore fireworks competition in the world. It attracts up to 400,000 spectators along the shores of English Bay each night.
Owned by the volunteer, Vancouver Fireworks Festival Society, 2022 represents the 30th year of the event.
Celebration of Light isn’t just a fireworks show. It’s the world’s largest offshore international fireworks competition. Every year, three countries battle it out, choreographing wild explosions to the soundtrack of their choice. This year, Canada, Spain, and Japan will participate in the sparkly showdown.
Where are the best spots to watch in Kitsilano?
If you’re an oceanfront Kits resident you may be able to see the show from your porch. If you can’t see the fireworks from your home, pack a picnic and head down to Vanier Park or Kitsilano Beach for a view of the glory.
If that’s already full, head to Burrard Bridge for a great view minus the public restrooms. As usual, there will be roads closures and heavy traffic, so walk, bike or use transit.
Celebration of Light means always spectators flooding into Kits to set up camp at the beach from 5pm onwards. We recommend going early.

It seems that you have the wrong date for the fireworks. I like the list you posted of places in Kits to watch them.
