Dine Out

1226

If you read any of the other local blogs (place- and otherwise), you’ve probably heard that Dine Out Vancouver is fast approaching (January 19 – February 4th), and participating restaurants are now accepting reservations.

There’s a fantastic assortment of Kitsilano eateries on the list, including “new this year” Gastropod and The Flying Tiger, as well as the controversial Watermark on Kits Beach.

In case you’ve actually been living under a rock, and/or rely on kitsilano.ca to provide all of your local food and drink info and advice (and really, why shouldn’t you?), Dine Out happens in late January every year, as the hospitality industry slows down while people pay off their Christmas bills.

Participating establishments put out a 3-course prix-fixe menu for $15, $25 or $35 (depending on the type of restaurant and their cuisine) and accept a limited number of reservations for the special Dine Out menu, created specifically for the event.

It’s a great way to try out some of the restaurants that call Vancouver home, without breaking the bank, and even makes a good excuse to re-visit an old favourite and try something that’s not usually on the regular menu for a great deal.

New to Dine Out this year is also the opportunity to make your reservations on-line for some of the restaurants – so what are you waiting for? Click on the dineout link, pick something new, and take yourself out for some great food at a really good price.

    Hi
A little off topic, but here is some news the Vineyard is closing it’s doors after 30 years.

  2. Check our restaurant news archives for more on this, including who is going into the space.
