Interested in cooking but knife skills a little rusty? Meet Mark Halyk, the new chef at the Kitsilano Community Center.
Chef Halyk will be offering several workshop at the Community Center starting this week. Specialized workshops involve preparing vegetarian meals, planning for Thanksgiving dinner, cooking for the community–as well as preserving food, which should be handy with the fall surplus of fruit. There’s also a Chef 101 workshop, so anyone just starting to venture in the kitchen need not be shy.
If you’re interested, head to the Community Center Culinary page to check out and register for the workshops, or email chef@kitscc.com.
