Kitsilano.ca is proud to announce that we will be sponsoring the FLICK Cancer team in the 2010 Ride to Conquer Cancer.

Think of it as a history-making opportunity for you to do something big about cancer, something epic. Riding through the scenic Pacific Northwest in two days on June 19 and 20, 2010. Sure, it sounds like a lot… and it’s meant to be. The conquest of cancer is a monumental task and won’t be easy. But make no mistake, this event isn’t just for athletes or cycling enthusiasts. The Ride to Conquer Cancer is for anyone who wants to challenge themselves for a great cause – even people who haven’t ridden since they were twelve. All you need is motivation, a bike, and a helmet. The rest is history. Be part of it.

In 2009 the FLICK Cancer team had only 7 riders but still managed to raise over $22,500 for the BC Cancer Foundation.

With your help this year, FLICK Cancer team captain Kalan Milley is pushing for 20 riders and over $50,000 for for the cause.

How can you get involved?

And if you’re proud to be from Kitsilano, do any of the above so that our team co-sponsor Yaletown.ca knows that Kitsilano.ca is the #1 hyper-local blog in town.
