As versatile as it is delicious, Viva Fine Foods & Bakery is an outstanding coffee shop, reliable brunch option and great place to pick up a quick lunch.
I must admit, not being much of a coffee drinker myself, I can’t personally vouch for the coffee, but everyone I bring here loves it. For me, their daily brunch (which is a tough find in Vancouver) is outstanding. Try the smoked salmon omelette or classic eggs benny. Both are divine. For lunch, their whole line-up of paninis are delicious. My favourite is the cajun chicken, but all are good. And, if you need a treat, their cinnamon buns are to die for!
Aside from the food, the highlight here really is the staff. There are consistently smiling and will great you by name after a few visits. And, if you bring your dog, there are plenty of treats and water for your canine friend…
Viva Fine Foods & Bakery is located at 1555 Yew Street, half a block up the hill from Cornwall Avenue.

So where is this place-does it have an address?
I was wondering the same thing, where is this place?
It’s on the north end of Yew, just before Cornwall. West side of the street, next to Kits Food Mart and all their flowers. Viva also has great cheese scones!
Note: They’re closed on Mondays.
If only there was a site that allowed you to search for information on a place (like an address) by typing (or copying and pasting, even) the name of the place… A kind of “search machine” I’d call it “Moogle!”
They have the BEST hot chocolate…
Here is the address:

Definitely really good coffee for sure. You’d think it’d be tough to compete with the likes of Starbucks practically next door, but their product is terrific.
I agree with Canoe my kids enjoy the chocolates as we go there with my family. We enjoy a lot and we are planning to get back there by next week 🙂
thanks,
Barbara
Half a block from the beach and Dawn (the owner) makes the best latte’s around!
An amazing latte and a morning stroll on Kits beach = Good times.
